The BME Business Forum is developed and supported by the BME (Black and Minority Ethnic) Network in partnership with Middlesbrough Council. The BME Network offers specialist Business support services to Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee led businesses, offering support ranging from advice and guidance for new business start ups along with helping assist business development and growth

Despite all businesses having individual needs, many share the common goal of being successful and making money. The BME Network works in partnership with Middlesbrough Council, Business Link, HM Revenue & Customs and mainstream Business Support providers to ensure a professional team of staff are available to help you make the most of your business ideas. The partner organisations are also afforded an opportunity to engage, inform and consult the BME Business sector about their products and services.

Aims & Objectives of the BME Business Forum

  • Give the BME Businesses a voice & a platform from which they can grow.
  • Establish a group providing mutual support for BME businesses
  • Act as a point of contact between the BME Businesses and Middlesbrough Council & Business Link
  • Increase the number of BME Businesses accessing services and support from Middlesbrough Council & Business Link
  • Increase the number of BME Businesses setting up in the Tees Valley
